What is your Calgary story?

Both professional and personally this City makes my heartbeat. It will always be my home and I’m proud to have been raised here.

What do you Envision for Calgary’s future?

Economic Prosperity…

I want to see that spark and excitement come back into the people of this City…We have a huge opportunity living in this city and what could be a very prosperous future… Let’s do what we can to leverage our resources, skills and people to make this city great again.

What would make your life better in Calgary?

As a business owner of course I’m going to say less taxes.

But for me it really comes down to a feeling, the emotion that is created by the people of the city and being involved in something that is inspiring… For me that would be bringing people together through the arts, entertainment, architecture and nightlife….

the entitled opinions of our Calgarians may not necessarily represent Calgary 2.0

DEAR CALGARIANS

In these very uncertain times, it may seem like the future is bleak for Calgary and for Alberta. But I want to assure you that there will be a light at the end of the tunnel for us. We are no strangers to adversity - from the 1980’s to 2008, then again in 2014. And now in 2020. Yet every time we have managed to pick ourselves up and rebuild.

Calgarians are builders; we build economies, we build relationships, and we build futures. Our city is a proudly diverse city, attracting talented and hardworking people from around the world – and it is through our diversity that we are adaptable, resilient, and unified.

Today as we face these new obstacles, we also have a great opportunity to add more to our identity, while improving on what we are already good at. This is our chance to evolve to the next stage – Calgary 2.0!

And so, I invite Calgarians to participate in Envisioning our future. Tell us your vision for Calgary and how you would like our city to grow. We want to hear what is important to all Calgarians; what we should focus on, and what we should focus less on.

There is no denying that we are facing difficult times and difficult decisions but by looking towards the future and working together to create solutions, we can forge a stronger and renewed Calgary.
